Melba Toast is the prefect accompaniment for my Homemade Chicken Liver Pâté‎. Don’t be tempted to rush and try to cook this “quicker”! Patience is the key…AND Keep an eye on the toast in the oven, it can over cook in the blink of an eye!

Ingredients

  • ½ Good Quality Medium Sliced White Bread

Method

Step 1

Lightly toast both sides then trim off the crust and cut the toast in two by running a serrated knife between the toasted sides

Step 2

Now cut each slice in to a triangle and place on a baking tray (toasted sides down)

Step 3

Bake the toasts at about 160° in a pre-heated oven for about 5-10 minutes. Watch for the toast to turn a light golden brown colour and for the corner to curl up
